WA Mud comp

The "Mud Guts and Glory" comp is on this weekend (8th & 9th Sept). Any LR support will be welcome (I think there's two or three of us from AULRO competing).

The comp is being held on private property just outside of Popyaninning (between Brookton and Narrogin). Just follow the signs on Bunmulling Rd (heading east from the town).

The rounds start at 10am Sat and 9am Sun. There's no camping on site (although there will be toilets and a food van or two), but there are camp-sites in the town.

Hope to see some of you there!

Had a great time,got some wicked pics/video.
Those boys in the Ser3 were the highlight of the day for me,did some tough stuff easy and dis some easy stuff REAL TOUGH!!!!
Will posts picks and utube the video during the week.
Gordon what causes all that smoke out of the D3 chimneys???? Lots of it on that first stage we watched you on.
Plenty of Landys competing.
2 D1s with a broken drivers side CV from saturday and Jeff had an attack of the lucas electrics so no start today(110 County dualcab)
Good on the Lady with the D1 with the broken CV,lock the locker and compete!!!!WELL DONE!!!!
Badluck to Jezza,snapping the D1 CV whilst being recovered by a tractor.
Are those Ser3 pilots members here???? They were a travelling party.They copped the loudest cheer for the day blitzing 2 seactions that pulled up lots more capable machines,TOP EFFORT!!!!
Some nice 2 door Rangies,got to love that screaming rover V8 sound!!!!

Hey Andrew,
Had a good trip home in my now 2WD Disco with the front axel and CV out ! Very painfull watching from the side-lines today !, We were doing so well with only one or two stages to go on SAT !.........Bloody little Tracktor :mad:
We were coming 15th out of 44 on Sat Night !!........I wish I had this site to send out for URGENT parts !
The Series 3 Pilot is Brett's (Orginiser From the Suzistores) little Brother, With a rear CIG Locker and otherwise STANDARD ! he had a ball ! Dane's 2 Dorr Rangie was very sweet, with a standard Carbie 3.5 making all the nice sound you herd (Mine also did some good singing on saturday!)

LOL, it wasn't even a Lucas problem at that stage, the ARB compressor was playing up. The Lord Lucas problems reared their ugly little heads later at the water crossings.:eek:

All in all we did OK, we finished 15th, I think the higher placed green oval.:)

Dane's rangie was the last one. Really cool toy that was. Would love to have a play in it but spose will stick to wheeling the blue beast (soon to be black and fully loaded!!)

Lord Lucas did have a say in our final placing but a good show for a first attempt (with no lockers most of the time). Plenty of RR right foot solved everything

Great vids Andrew, I had a great day out on Sunday. It was the first time I had been to one of these events.

To you guys that compete when is the next one?

I did see on the Adrenalin 4X4 site that there is a rock crawling comp in summer 2007, I assume that is the coming summer.

I understand the rock crawling comp will be more likely early next year and will be more for the hardcore buggy types.

The vehicle specs would make it impossible for most people to enter without seriously spending some big bucks.

But I will be there watching for sure!

Im REAL INTERESTED in this sort of comp,the Stage1 van(to be a ute) Im picking up on saturday may see me there in the future.Cant do it to the D2,or the Rangie.They are our everyday transport and dont need extra $$$ spent if broken and need to be on the road.
Best part is I have a Ser3 in the shed with plenty of $$$ spent so I can mixnmatch bits and have a runner.
Hoping to get out with you boys next year!!!!
