Hi all,
Whereabouts is a recommended place to have a 40mm lift for a Disco 1 sourced and fitted? I'm looking to have it fully installed. I'm not sure if my current standard shockers are able to cope with a lift, so I'm guessing these will need replacing too. What is a reasonable price for a 40mm lift fitted?
Cheers:D

I am guessin you are talking about a spring lift and not body lift?
I have no idea about price as I have always installed my own but if you have to get it done somewhere then I would recommend Range Rov. I think it is going to cost heaps any where but Range Rov are normally very reasonable.
For the springs and shocks, well it depends on what brand you want, but I friend got a set with ridepro shocks recently and I think it was $900.

The most available kit is the Old Man Emu from any ARB stockist. You'll need shocks and springs and on a D1 that gives you about 40-50mm lift. Easy to fit yourself.
Otherwise I suggest talkiing to Ritter or LRA, etc and getting Bilstien or Koni shocks and which ever springs they recommend.
As fopr cost fitted budget at least $1000

I got a TJM kit put in by TJM in Dandenong 3 years ago. Its been Ok but is a bit stiff and has sagged quite a bit. I think ( not sure though ) TJM use King springs.
I'm looking at taking the car over to Les Richmond Automotive( LRA ) to measure it up and give me a quote. They only use Bilstein shocks ( expensive ) and have a range of springs at different rates and heights. Range Rov as mentioned is another option and they won't put you wrong. Fred Smith in Bayswater is another favourite amongst the guys here.

I'm saving up for the LRA Lift. You'll need to budget for $1400.
