Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I need to sort my rego out today and I am chronically hung over so nothing makes sense.

Anyways, I have got my rego documents through and just need to sort out my green slip with my insurers. But what is this pink slip all about?

I got one when I bought my car. It has the passed safe box ticked and it is dated 10/04/2007. Is this valid for one year or do I need a new inspection to be carried out?

I'm only asking cos there is a bit at the bottom of the page saying that that the "passed safe" result will be accepted for registration for 42 days after the inspection.

Sorry for the stupid question!

Pink Slip=saftey test, and it will need to be done again if it was done on 10/4/07.
You can organise green and rego slip over the phone

Noting you are in NSW.....

Electronically lodged pink slips are only valid for a maximum of 42 days.

Your car will need another registration inspection by an authorised inspector.

If the car has LPG, it will need inspection by an inspector with the requisite LPG qualifications.

Just as I thought then.

I thought it was better to check though as I am not with it at all today.

Cheers!
