It was on our breakfast news that the RAN was shelling out for breast augmentation for some of its female officers, who were suffering psyhcological problems because of their natural (presumably small ) breast size. After all the usual thoughts of "what in hell is the world coming to" etc, it occurred to me that if the Navy pays for them, does the Navy get to play with them.:o I'm sure there would be no shortage of vollies for that duty:D:D

Maybe they will introduce a minimum size for women before joining :eek2:.
What about the blokes? Will they line up for an enlargement as well. It should be half price as only one item will need enlarging (this is heading for the mud pit!).

Is it no longer politically correct to take females (or Boy Sailors) down the tiller flat and show them the golden rivet?

So, if the female crew get $10k for their 'job',
what do the blokes get?:D:D:D

"Presumably small", how do you know it wasn't for breast reduction, many women have severe problems with oversize breasts, Regards Frank.

theres a slogan these days written on most male heads inside the ships of the RAN...
The only blokes who screw WRANS are the ones too lazy to ****...
with that in mind Id say breast augmentation is there for the blokes moral just as much as the womens...

Hmmm.. they can spend millions on trying to recruit, or invest in a few boob jobs and let the story leak. :D :D
If there was a video of this in some way it would be true viral marketing. :D :D
It's a win win... everyone is happy. :)

Frank, hopefully by now you have read the ABC story & now know what I knew b4 posting. For Captain Lightfoot, I googled "australian navy breasts" there were no shortage of hits including the ABC story. The theme was pretty convincing, little girlies wanting to be big girlies. I see on the TV that we are shortly to have a new series starring Lisa McCune (?) as skipper/officer on one of the RANs fast patrol launches. I never thought she needed any more but will watch with a more critical frame of mind now. :D:D

From my experience it is never wise to belief everything (anything?) the media says.
The Navy takes care of it's own, as do all military forces. The surgery was in place originally to take care of those who had breasts removed or damaged because of cancerous growths or due to injury during an 'incident'/action.
However as with all systems if you know the right people / can convince the right people then they can be abused.
I'd take whatever the media says with a large factory of salt...

"Navy confirms subsidised breast implants
Posted Sun Sep 16, 2007 8:02am AEST
A Department of Defence spokeswoman has confirmed that the Australian Navy has paid for breast enlargements for some of its female sailors with taxpayer money.
Due to privacy issues, the department says it can not comment on individual cases.
But while some cosmetic surgery is provided after physical injuries on the job, there are other women who have cited psychological reasons for breast augmentation.
The department says that it does not pay for operations purely for cosmetic reasons."
But, if you are some how insecure about your, "itty bitty little titties:.
If it traumatises you, to see girls with great big boobies.:(
Then put your name (in triplicate) in the green rub book.
And whinge. After all bigger titties, make better sailors.
Bah humbug.
Told you I'd get in strife if I was still in.:p

God, the Navy is going queer. What happened to allow to slip the old standards of rum, sodomy, and the lash.
What do they call WRAN's these days and WRAC's? Hammock liners and groundsheets are probably politically incorrect names nowadays.
