For those of you who are immune or otherwise offended by cute things, stop studying this and move on.

For those who dare...look on.

This is my doormat companion. He guards my door when I am gone, inside for any extended period of time, or otherwise not opening the door often. I think his feet must get cold on the ground. You think a puppies eyes are bad when they look at you pleading, try this little darling gazing at you begging not to go inside because his feet are cold. It was so cute, that I thought I'd share, bring smiles to others.

Not very. It's hard to tell exactly when they're born. But it was kicked out of 'mums' pouch about a week ago. Until it has the strength to climb the cliffs at the back of the house and find a good cave to reside in it appears our front porch is it.

I rather liked the idea, the lazy little bugger knows where the food is...to hell with climbing the hill if you can just park on the verandah.

In fact, I've never timed how long they stay in the pouch. I'll do so next I spot a baldy pink one!

Till some "A" hole cat or dog gives it a fright...
Native animals are great its just the imports that ruin occurrences like those above.

Quite close yes. When I took that piccy my toes were about 10cm from the doormat that you see it sitting on in the picture. It's a normal sized door mat so I suppose I was no more than 50 cm or so. This one is somewhat tamer than most of our wallabies. It's mother we can hand feed though we dont do so regularly. I suppose since the mother had trust it has learnt that too. The dont really like eye-contact though so catching the pic was not so easy.

Gotta love fuzzy animals ... as a kid i made a platform in a tree and left lollie pops . Within 5 minutes would have possums holding the lollie pop by the stick licking their heads off .
