Hey all :) Just wonderd if any of you get out to the gem fields at all? My old man and me have an area around opalton QLD ,try to get out there every couple of years wish i could get out there more often :( its so beautiful out there were on a property covering 1.4 million arces,feels like the rest of the world doesnt exist when im out there :D These are some ive had polished :)

They are nice specimens you have there.
Do you find each time you have a dig?
What a life hey? Does your father do it hard, or is he set up with some mod cons?
I imagine their would be a few old landrovers out there.
One day i will get out there, maybe strike it lucky:D

My grandad was very heavily into it, and fairly well known in gem clubs around googe's way too.
I've got a bucket full of various stuff he's cut over the year's sitting right here. :)
Used to go out with the folks and grand folks to agate creek, emerald (QLD) and many other places I was too young to remember.

Ty Traveler :),yeh we usaly come back with a few paint tins full,the camp out there is pretty compy got 3 caravans all solar powered,can even run a small aircon :) Got a swiming hole right beside the camp to :) Its very adictive lol
