I was successful with the face to face interview in Albury and met the crew at Myrtleford/Bright last friday.
The utes booked in for timeing belt and water pump thursday, one more week of standby and its good by water corp. Have a week to gut the shed and pack a sea container then head east, start date Vic nov 07.
One problem, must leave the family behind to finish selling up and follow behind, hope that wont take to long.

From the Indian Ocean to Albury, that's different. Having said that I went from Darwin to Canberra for a job. I lasted one winter before I went back to Darwin warmth.
Best of luck with it all and there are some absolutely beautiful places up into the snowy mountains to see in summer.
I hope you sell the house quickly to get the family over ASAP.

Don't forget the North East Victoria AULRO get-together at the Stump Hotel (Wodonga) the evening of November 29.
Should be a few there (hopefully) - a good opportunity to meet a few fellow members.

Good luck, I wish you well.
Moving is a major pain, just take it easy and don't stress. Before Christmas, it will all be done and dusted and your family will be with you in Albury, which is a nice part of the world. (And not too far from Benalla and Rutherglen and Howlong:D:D:D).
Cheers, GQ

The plan is to buy a smallish block 100 acres or less around the Milawa or Whorouly area. Waiting now for a offer on the Gero lot, then its all systems go. I can only fit so mutch shed stuff in the sea container ,so mutch steel and good junk to be left behind, the vultures are looking on already.
Ive put the 29/nov in my diary + might have a bit of a LR thing when we are on the new place.

This time round i will be a little more prepaired, when I turned up at pukka in 91 there where sand tyres on my S111 , thought a large sand dune was a hill and mud was a rare thing.

I had relatives (Couple with five children) from Whorouly here from Sunday to Tuesday this week. Small world!
