Personally, I thought it was a brilliant game. ;)
I expected us to get slaughtered, so well pleased with the result....

NZ knocked out too! That makes me feel better. Full marks to England though for playing well.
Go Argentina!

Full marks to England, they really rattled Australia. It was not a pretty game and Australia only have themselves to blame.
Thank God that was Gregans last game, now all the wobblies need to do is find a halback capable of providing some quick passes to the backs.

They are never a good game when you lose!
England played well, stopped the Aussies from playing their usual game and even the Aussie players were first to admit that.

Hey It was a surprise to me . Even though i am a great england Rugby Fan i did not think we had a hope in hell winning against Aus.
But we have to play France next and we play them all the time and of course as a nation that hate the french Should be a good game :):)
After England coming to the wqorld cup with a team that was play crap . We could be in the final against South Africa :D:D:D

It is so long since the wallabies have played as badly
I agree England rattled Australia, but they were not very impressive either, and couldn't score, other than penalties.
Neither side deserve to be world cup champions.

The game was disappointing to say the least - crap play by all and to loose by field goals kicked by Wilkinson again!
Massive upset by France and congrats to them, they have been playing well - maybe the most underrated side of the world cup.

I agree. On that effort neither of them deserve to win the Old Bill.
I wish they could change the rules to make the game flow a bit better and SORT OUT THE SCRUMS!!!
I don't agree about the comments on Gregan. He has ben a great halfback for the Wallabies and will be sorely missed. He made a few try saving tackles last night or else the score would ahve been much worse.
The ones to hang their heads in shame were our forwards. Too slow to the breakdown, no clean-out in the rucks and a scrum that my gandmother could have pushed around.
Time for a new coach and front row. It was great to see the Chicken Choker Ull Blucks get he sword as well. I hate em even though I am married to one. Their negative spoil tactics back fired on them once again at the world cup.
Viva Argentina!!!

Sad day for Oz rugger!
Funny tho, have to think Connelly's days are numbered:D
At least Jones took us all the way to the final.
Yes, a poor pack will never win the game.
I'll support the Arggies, why not!
Funny if Seth Efrica go all the way and 'owe it all to Jones'
Just can't support France tho, never know if they will hoist the surrender ensign when things heat up.

What a perfect waste of a Saturday Night.
I think the decision to kick for a penaly 50 mts out cost the Aussies the game.
If only Mortlock had kicked for touch within the 22m area we would have had a line out feed which we were winning.
That could of setup a field goal in the zone for the new Barnes Boy or at least milked another penalty from a desperately defending England.
And what has happened to the good old front rowers who used to frighten you just looking at you?
Where was Rodzilla 135 kgs!!
But at least we got beaten by the World Champions not like our Tasman Neighbours!!!

Bit harsh there Chenz ... perhaps if the Wallaby scrum focussed their attention on competing instead of using sneaky tactics at scrum time, they would not have been found wanting against a "real" pack of forwards.
Don't worry mate ... the Australian Super 14 sides can now contain imports so we'll send some "real" forwards over from South-Africa and NZ! ;)
If I may ask, why Argentina?

Gregan's not your problem .. not even the best halfback in the world can play well behind that pack. You don't have forwards .. simple as that. You need a front row, a mongrel like Owen Finegan and some ball runners like Totai Kefu.

The Wallabies have been in bad form for quite a while now. I think we all believed the hype leading up to the World Cup. They're lucky they had an easy group stage!

They are the best of the bad bunch. Really how could you go for the POMS with that joke Wilkinson, The Frogs or the Saffers neither of which have had an original rugby idea in decades.
An England Argentina Final would be the Falklands all over again. Yeah Baby. Oh and I have an uncle in Argentina
