After saving the track file can you just then open it and then follow it somehow ?

Just maybe... if you've been there before and had a track file from that visit.... you might want to turn it into a route file..... for the next time...;)
I'm watching this one with interest....I'm not sure of the answer and would like to use Ozi..... just need some time to mess around with it....

It seems it's not as simple as loading a track file and saving it as a route file. I think you need to create waypoints along the track file, load the route editor, then add the waypoints into the route editor. This creates a route that can then be saved. Ozi then works out what direction you should head to meet the next waypoint and gives you either a voice prompt or cursor arrow indicating how you should turn.
I'll create a test to get to work tomorrow and see how I go. If this method works I'll explain it in more detail.
Cheers,

OK well it took me a little while to reply cause I sent my ECU down to Tombraider to have it flashed and as such had to drive the wifes car to work. The ECU is back.... and I'm a very happy boy now !! but that's another story.
As I thought, the way to get a route together is to load a track file (I use my desktop for this) then create waypoints along the track file at suitable intervals. (turns etc)
Open the Route Editor (View Route Editor)
Click the properties tab
Click "Select All" (waypoints) then "Add"
This creates a route that then needs to be saved.
Click Save - route to file (give it a name)
Copy this file to your PDA (or SD card)
Now on your PDA
Open the route Tool Bar
Open the route, then click the "Forward along route" (Green Icon)
This will highlight the route from waypoint to waypoint.
For fun you can click the arrow icon on the toolbar, and this shows you the direction to the next waypoint (as the crow flies).
This sounds long winded but it's really not that hard.
Give it a try and if you get stuck on my instructions let me know and I'll try and make it a little clearer.

GPS Babel is a useful tool for conversions that has support for Oziexplorer. Will converts routes etc from one format to another, not sure if it will convert tracks to routes.
Garmin gps receivers do this very easily.
