Ohh No the Disco has a note now......

Wife has been complaining that her 94 V8 Disco sounds like any other 4wd... she wants it to sound like a V8 and not a Toorak tractor.....

So today after i gave it some new shoes i went and got the middle muffler replaced with a straight thru and the rear one removed completly.....

How does it sound???
2500-3000rpm it crackles.....

I picked the wife up from work and she had a smile for the whole trip home....

Now it sounds like a V8..........

My SWMBO is the same our new RR is far too quiet so when I get time (soon) I will fit the extractors and 2 1/2"system, she just loves the sound:D:D

Had the muffler replaced a couple of weeks ago as the original had a broken baffle making a racket. Rule #1 was that it could not be antisocial, but it does have a nice rumble at low RPM now and gear changes are also improved as you can actually hear it now. No real difference at cruise. More torque everywhere.

The bike is gathering dust and the V8 is steadily becoming her DD:o.

I removed the centre muffler from the D2 and told Di it was her Birthday present,,

Stick a raised air intake on it too & you'll get the induction noise too... :cool:

How can it get a defect when it is still under 86dB....
I know as my exhaust place has a noise meter and we tested it....

I never said it was loud.. it now has a note........

Mine is loud as......but I dont care.

EFI exhaust manifolds (4 into 2), 2.5" mandrel bent to straight through muffler and a resonator on the end.

Scares people regularly.:D:D:D

If its under no probs but without any mufflers i'm surprised it is under. My rangie had a 2.5 " exhaust with centre muff and resonator in the rear, nice note without droning.

If its under no probs but without any mufflers i'm surprised it is under. My rangie had a 2.5 " exhaust with centre muff and resonator in the rear, nice note without droning.

It has a Center Muffler, just a Straight thru design.
