I switched to AGL for my electricity and gas with the promise of savings. So far I don'y think I have been getting any discounts.
Every week I get some Indian knock on the door from various energy companies, 1stly I can't Stand Indians having dealt with them in Business and their ethics are not to my liking. ( I must be racist then)! secondly I can't understand what they are waffling on about. I even get Indians from AGL knocking on my door. I tell them I am already with them, and they always promise me savings of say 5% blah blah blah.
I emailed AGL the other day and asked why I don't have any mention of the promised discounts on my accounts when I recieve them. Like the discount I never got any reply.
Now my saturday leisure time is interupted by another Indian knocking on the door. He was from Tru energy informing me that they have had a lot of complaints about people not getting their discounts from AGL, Agl is keeping the discount and not passing it one.
I have told him to **** off and if he has an offer Mail it to me and I will read it and decide at my leisure. I told him I will not buy anything from a door to door.
I am putting a sign up on my front door prohibitting door to door canvassers.
With all this bloody deregulation who gives service and a good price for Gas and Electricity.?
Because the next Indian to knock on my door is going to crack a cricket bat over the head. I am getting real peed .

Hmmm. Don't have that problem living so far off the main road as what I do. My house, electricity, gas etc are all part of what my work provides me with, and I haven't seen door to door salesman or energy bill for about the last 9 years.

Mr naut,
Country energy, because I live in the country, signed up with some reseller one day after i got a box of free fluro bulbs, same thing our electricity is cheaper, had a 14 day cooling off period, anyway they sent me the paperwork and i had a read , looked at my country energy bill, and I would have been one cent per whatever better off, off peak was the same rural power charge was the same, nothing gained.
So i rang and said no thank you, on the phone the guy tried to tell me they had great rates blah balh blah, I told it they were not then asked him the tech stuff, about our dirty power and my poles going down to the dam that are hollow and need replacing, his answer we contract that out to country energy, my answer I'll stay with them, at least the local linies know my street.

In the metro area's all the energy rates are the same as it all comes from the same supplier, its only the discounts that make a difference ( if you get them). I'm with origin but probably not for long since we just found out they have been billing us for our neighbors gas since feb !

I think this pic should frighten off any male salesperson from any country. A dog mad enough to do that should be avoided at all costs.
