Don't know:(

First Christmas ever that won't be spent with the 3 sons:mad:

Might just get into the "Fender and head somewhere/anywhere - the house will seem very empty and quiet.

I here you Barra , my dad always said no matter where u are in the world u always come home for xmas and thats been the way for many years, but this is the first xmas ma and pa will be minus two kids as they live in darwin now and just wont do the xmas trip this year, its getting close for us and we will only have the young fellar home the two older ones will be long gone. Caravanning seems a popular choice, might borrow the ma in laws and go for a drive somewhere quiet.

Used to go down there in the mid '70s. Peace and solitude back then, what's it like these days?

Going to Hamilton Island early Jan for a week or 10 days. Would rather in the High Country camped beside a river but my family are happy to be going to Qld. Haven't been scuba diving in a while so I might try a couple of dives while I am there.

Like Numpty I'll be working.
We avoid the Christmas hols (and any school hols) for touring as there are just toooooooooo many people about.

I like solitude :D

you sound like my wife:p

Just time off will suit me, so far 4 working days off this year, the downside of a) working for yourself and b) being the business as well, i.e can't bugger off and leave for staff to look after when you don't have any.

We were looking to go o/s again, like last year, but with another bub on the way, that has been curtailed. Possibly looking at a road trip and staying at different places along the way ie north or south of where we are. Bottom line just want to close business down and have a well deserved break

Regards

Stevo

$$$ Will be tight as we are about to move 400km's so probably just a couple of short trips, maybe some overnighters camping with the kids on Yorke Peninsula or Down to Victor Harbour, Mount Gambier.... Maybe even Robe. Any other members around Adelaide who might be interested let me know.

Not wanting to make anyone jealous, but my wife and I are taking our two girls 8 & 10 to disneyland in LA. It's something we have always wanted to do and I have not been O/S for about twenty years and my wife has never been out of Australia. Costing more than I wanted to spend on a holiday but with the dollar so strong if we don't do it now may never be able to afford it.

I think we will be there around the 3rd of Jan for 8 or ten days. My wife has made all the arrangements and I have not taken much notice. We may be able to catch up for a beer or two.

I refuse to go away at Christmas and Easter. too many terrorists towing vans on the highways; crowds, crowds, everywhere; and, of course, the grossly inflated prices. Why do you think a Brisbane newspaper christened the Town of South Coast the "Gold Coast". The coasters were so crass they didn't see the sarcasm and took it seriously enough to name the place that.
