I've just put a new gearbox in my 6x6 and it jumps out of high range.Has anybody had this problem and sorted it? The box is the 4 sp LT95 with army mods

Not enough pre load on the intermediate shaft? lacking detent for high range?

How exactly does it jump out? accelerate then decellerate? can you hold it in? is the H-L stick walking?

might be as simple as the insulation has shifted under the levers rubber dust booting and is providing just enough effort to let it out.

On acceleration it jumps out. Cruising its OK. I've checked for any external pressure on the lever and its clear plus took the seat box out removed the transfer box cover and made sure that the spring loaded ball is dropping in on the shaft and that the forks for engaging high is hard against the gear .010 as it engages.

Sounds just like what happens when you've lost a shim, so if you didn't have enough preload on the intermediate shaft, that could cause it:o
