Saw in the paper (The Australian) that John Anderson, retiring leader of the Nats has just completed restoring his 1959 Land Rover (Igues its a series2). It was bought new by his father.
It will be on show at a fair somewhere in his electorate.

There was a story about him and his Landrovers in LROI a few years ago.

I don't think so - he lives in Gunnedah not Emu plains. (and is my local member until he retires on 24/11)

can't be ron, he only recently got the 2a in his signature line... :)
although he doesn't complain too much about the cost of maintaining the p38... just the number of problems... hmmm... the plot thickens.

If we kept all our used parts, and added up the bills I think most of us would have a $220k collection.
Anyway I'd love to see a pic of this Land Rover of his. Nothing prettier than a concourse Series 2 in my humble'.
