Andy,
Keep an eye out if they have any Defender rear axles or maxi drive units. Think I poped an axle tonight. Backed up car on gravel and rear wheel turned a bit funny (slipping). When pulled forward was an almighty bang from rear or centre or truck. Still had drive though. Axles out for inspection tommorow arvo.
:(:(

Lots and lots of gear, some reasonably priced.
No Maxidrives Craig.
Loads upon loads of manuals, not so cheap.
Nice looking 2a forward control workshop man.
Jeff, they had 2 dead TD5s,both complete, both suffered the dreaded oil pump bolt. One still has the turbo, they were open to offers on both.Call 0417961450.
There was a collection of TDis and V8s.
I kept my hands in my pockets,so to did Graz.Taz was like a kid in a lolly shop,he got quite a stash.
Good to catch up with a few of you other AULRO boys there.

hmm wonder if they would have door side strips... fed up of muppets smashing their doors into mine... saves me spraying the doors then too where they have been chipped... may have to take a ride down as i work less than 2 minutes from them!

Thanks

The last time I saw Greg Guest he drove in the workshop in a gold D3 with those horrible chrome bling wheels on.
The vehicle looked awful with low profile tyres as well.
A mechanic changed them for standard wheel/tyres and it looked much better.
I'd hoped they'd put the business up for sale rather than close the doors for good.
Although maybe they did but got no takers with the right money but it's a pity anyway.
Doesn't leave us in the northern suburbs much choice apart from the stealer!
Alan.

be a bit more hlep to me if stuff was labelled as i dont know my way round the disco too well yet...

They offered the business to Chris, a long time employee and a good bloke - however he didnt want the stress and declined. It's been a family business sine 1954 when they were doing work for Falls. Sad as it's one of the few places I trusted.
