The real answer is in the morning.
If your tounge is swolen, throat is as dry as a nuns nastie and the head is pounding like you cant belive.
You had one glass too many,as its the last glass that causes the problems.

For me, it's when my wife says I've had too much, i.e., 2 glasses. :(

Which is why I have one of these! :D

noice Ron :)

As I either have to catch a taxi, walk home or drive, then the limits tend to be lower - 2 drinks in the first hour and 1 per hour thereafter, for me this works and keeps me under the limit :)

I can't drink red wine gives me a bad hang over ever time for some reason, even if I only have a few glasses. Much rather a beer anyway.

You lucky, lucky... chaps:D since I've had kidney stones I can't drink more than a couple of drinks without a hangover, and I've just come back to beer as the weather warms up and found that even one is a problem.

:(

Cheers

Enough is when you pull over for a pee, fall down a 3 metre embankment, chuck ya guts up, tell the misses to leave you alone and come and pick you up in the morning (middle of winter in Red Hill and its raining) pass out for an hour then get dragged into the car by 2 chicks (wife and friend) and proceed to chuck all down the side of the car all the way home;).
That was enough for a couple of years, but i'm back on it:D

Ditto. It's the preservatives. Some beers also do the same to me.

Rum is harmless:p

If u want to try a really nice beer and its not easy to find, its a South Oz drop called Oakbank, its a lager and a mighty nice drop, our local bottelo got a few cartons, I tried it and was hooked so bought 3 cartons and now its all gone and hes got no more, might to SA for a drive at xmas and get some then. It is for sure the preservatives that knock u around, I can drink home brew till I cant drink no more and feel quiet good in the mornings although that first fart can clear a room, I get no lagging effect, just a pain it takes so long to ripen up when u dont brew alot.

I used to drink beer - up until 1969.

The I was transferred to Ceduna and found SA didn't know how to make beer. So I stopped drinking it - but I did find Reynella (OTC had a Coast Radio Station [VIA] at McLaren Vale  ) and the Barossa.

When I moved to WA in 1970, I couldn't drink WA slop either.

I still rarely drink it. A 6-pack will last a year in my fridge - assuming I have any in the fridge.

Saw an article in the paper the other day.
The "experts" now say that anything over 2 standard drinks per day ( for both men and women ) will do you harm.

A 750ml bottle of wine contains 7 standard drinks ......

I'm in trouble

For you heathens that think a bottle of red is something you put on a pie :D

If you want to avoid the headaches, avoid the tannins. Wine gets tannins from the skin and from maturing in wood.

So for whites avoid wood matured. For reds its a bit harder as skin is an integral part of the wine. So stick to lighter reds like merlots and pinots.

Also, the tannins put in histermines so if you have synis issues, it make it a lot worse. Ask my Mrs!

Me, I love the heavy ones, Shiraz, grenache, etc.

No such thing as too much.....and its good for the ticker!

The only real way to tell if you have had too much, is to get a picture of the ugliest woman you could ever imagine, then look at that as you drink. When she starts looking good, you know you've had enough :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Until you start drinking white wine, then you know you have gone to far and turned.
