Was in there today - apparently they're closing on 21 Dec 07. I was told John and Bev(?) are retiring and rather than go through the hassle of recruiting new staff the decision has been made that it's time to stop. A shame - I've been buying from them on and off for about 17 years.
They are running down the stock quite successfully, so if you need anything better get down there.
Guess that leaves Rovacraft in Bayswater, and perhaps Rovertech for some bits - anyone know other sources apart from Barbagallo's/Southern?

I did hear that Rovertech had or are going to take them over entirely. I for one hope so as we're really hard up for decent workshops now and Kevins as good if not better than most.
Long way from the northern suburbs though.

John told me Kevin is only buying modern parts; he won't be dealing with series parts.:(
One of the problems (if it indeed it was one) was that they didn't seem to advertise very widely. It took me ages to find out that they sold series parts. At the el-cheapo prices they used to have, surely there is an opening here for someone who wants to sell at sensible prices Australia wide!

We are looking into stocking more Series parts, all of our supliers in the UK stock series but we just left it up to the lads in Welshpool...if people are willing to purchase the parts we will stock them...we have it all available to us...

Hi Stuart.
I have only had the pleasure of wandering around your empourium once.
Unfortunately on that visit it was only because I was in the neighborhood, and was only window shoping.
There was a couple of young blokes running the counter, nice blokes.
You have some nice gear in there,I was QUITE EXCITED WHEN I LEFT:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Britparts have been real good to rely on in the past(my series pilot days),they were really switched on with their Series gear, and real quick with overnite delivery.
Hoping you will fill the void!!!!

x2 :D
I am hoping to keep my 2a running for as long as I can.
I will be glad to know that I can still get parts thru you guys.
Especially with a major rebuild of 2x gearboxes and 2x 2.25 Engines to keep me busy thru christmas and into the new year.
Brit Parts will be sorely missed my me and plenty others.

I'll second that Lucus. I've only used their services a couple of times so far, but they've always done the righty by me.

I think I've left sleeping dogs lie for too long now. Unfortuantly some people have post defamatory remarks about us. Now we don't mind constructive criticism and forum's are there for people voice their opinions, how ever this person went too far and has even had some of his posts deleted. As such these people will only get quoted prices we believe they deserve.
As for people worrying about series parts, we have always carried series parts, although less these days. However most the parts we can get overnight if needed. Thomas (who owns Discovery Automotive) many years ago was part owner, manager of Britparts and set up Britparts. He also worked at the dealer (then Fauls) when SIIA and SIII were new as such we have a soft spot for Series vehicles, we even own a SIIB FC and a SIII Hybrid.
I also thank our customers for your supportive comments, as you know we always strive to help and provide a high level of customer service.

There's also a small workshop in Maddington (off Albany Hwy) that stocks used Series parts. Can't recall the name offhand, but Rovertech would be able to tell you.
Cheers,

I'll third that as my one and only dealing with them was extremely benifical to me.
