Hi all, after a bit of advice (as usual ). I want to get some Jate ring recovery points for the Fender - does anyone is Brissie sell them? The only people I can find when I do a search is Troutbeck in Melbourne ...
Also wondering if any of you can recommend somewhere to get a cargo barrier - only spoken to TJM so far, then quoted me $765 (fitted).
Off to Fraser in a couple of weeks, so I figure the recovery points are a must (for when the missus is driving of course :D), and I wouldn't mind a bit of protection from flying cargo when I get distacted by bikini clad backpackers and drive off a wash out

good luck actually getting anything out of them... !
twice i have tried to order gear from them and twice they have never bothered or let me know they couldnt send... left me scratching my head esp as one time they rang me back and said we found one we can sell you...
my first stop would be MR at redcliffe then British Offroad at forestglen.
best of luck with it..

Thanks Inc. M.R. didn't have the Jate rings, but I might get a cargo barrier from them.
Ended up ringing Troutbeck for the Jate rings, they are sending them tomorrow. :)

Got your JATE rings yet?
How much did they end up costing to your door?
This is something I have meant to do for a while but still haven't.

thats suprising as I have ordered heaps off them with no problems, have never spoke to them though, all transactions were via email, have you tried that approach??

Well I'm a Queenslander and they were OK with me:D
Hopefully they'll arrive today. I think the cost was going to be about $55 including shipping. Amazingly they said they would send them up to me with an invoice! Very trusting souls in this day and age ...

I got a few prices for a Milford cargo barrier, most were around $470 - $480 (ARB, TJM, M.R. Auto, Fourbies). None of these guys had them in stock and were going to struggle to get it done for me by next Friday (heading away to Fraser).
I finally got in contact with Vanquip, and they not only had one in stock (they had ordered one for a new Defender, but it didn't fit ), but they are only charging me $410. Not sure if that is their normal price, or they just wanted to get rid of it rather than ship it back to Milford.
If you also want it fitted, then M.R Auto works out to be the cheapest - they quoted $160 to fit it, every one else was around $230 - $260. I think the total from M.R Auto was about $630. Vanquip are charging me $663. ARB, TJM and Fourbies were all $730 or more.
Cheers
