Hi All
Series III 2,25 P
I took out my alternator to have it checked by a specialist because I was worried that it always takes a few seconds under quite a few revs to jump from 11V up to the normal 12,5 to 13 V when first starting her.
Also at idle the volts drop to 11 or so even with no major current drawing. The guy told me that it's charging fine and that Lucas need 3000 r/min to allow field voltage etc.
Hope he is right and I don't bugger my brand new Willard.
Also noted that after I unplugged my alternator plug, all my ancillaries are stone dead. No ignition no nothing.
Is this normal or is there something suspicious.
Appreciate some technical advice.
Thanks
James
