Defender tyres from Alloys onto steel rims?

OK - I have orderd 5 new Wolf rims (for a 2007 Defender), which I'd be looking to fit 750R16 tyres to (probably Michelin XZY's), but I have just had another thought.

Will the standard General Grabber 235/85 R16 tyres fit onto the Wolf rims?

I am thinking they might, but perhaps the Wolfs are narrower than the Boost Alloys and this might be an issue.

Wolfs are 6.5" & the Boosts are 7".

I can't see 0.5" making a difference - you won't have a problem.

Yes they will. Smallest recommended wheel size for 235/85 is 6".

OK - thanks for that. Looks like I've got a backup plan if the cash won't stretch to new tyres at the moment.
