Just got Home....
We were originally taking a 100 series cruiser on LPG, then it was not avail, so a P38 Ranger was the tow car, then at the last minute the 100 series was avail for us as long as we were back by 9pm Friday night...
So...
8pm Thurs night we shot off to Sydney, About Yass or there abouts we lost all Parker and dash lights, next town we pulled in to find the mud guard on the car trailer had fallen off and was wedged in between the tyre and trailer frame, we had blown the rear LH tyre and not even known.... so the fuse blew as the clearance light shorted out... we fixed that and 100mph taped the guard on.... i Txted Camel mark as it was only 3pm in the UK... and 3am in NSW....
We got to Moorebank at 5.10am and tried to have a kip... but the trafic noise kept us awake, so off for breakfast at 6am...
Whats with the trafic on the Hume near the M5 at 4.30am??? it was like peak hour in Melb, then at 9am it was so bad i thought i was in a carpark..
Anyhow.. we picked the Disco up and got it forked onto the trailer and we tied it down and away we went... 9.30 we left Sydney and headed south....
No issues.... except every time we stopped for fuel someone asked what happened to the Disco???? Pix are to come....
The best line of the Day.....
Servo attendant "Have a great weekend" our reply "Hope it was better than last weekend, this is what the outcome was" they normally just gasp...
Got back to my place at about 7.45pm and removed the Disco off the trailer and i popped the bonnet to find it was a BARGAIN.....
I have never seen a 93 Disco this well looked after.... it is as clean as. oil leaks.... NONE....
So what is it????
93 V8 Disco, ZF Auto and it was a ES with leather and sun roof..... and its on LPG and was installed in 2006
So tommorow i'll hot wire it and fire it up on LPG and test out a few things....
Then i'll start pulling it apart.... Everything except the engine, gearbox, transfer, diffs and radiator will be sold....

Sounds like a night mare trip with a good outcome.
This is why I stay well clear of Sydney when I can, I hate driving through the place.
