Bloke about 25km from here has a complete V8 (Holden I believe) as his mailbox (not sure where the mail goes)- he makes ends meet on the farm by overhauling engines. He has all sorts of machinery for surface grinding, reboring, crankshaft grinding etc.

I had a Volvo Gearbox as my letter box years back when i rallied... it was there just to crap the Pug guy down the road who had a Pug badge on his mail box....
Things you do in sleepy old country towns....
I'd love a Rover V8 mailbox... but sadly it would last about 1 night before it was pinched...

it's a long story but $20 in a bargain bin in an adult shop in fishwyk, sold to us by a heavily pregnant goth sales girl.
priceless!
the funniest thing is when people actually know what it is and they see it at the front door.
no i take that back, the funniest thing is when you explain to people that don't know what it is, what it is actually for, the look of horror on their faces is really priceless

if it is, then they've got a boiler in the basement, those massive radiators like the one that is against the wall in the background of the photo are only usually used in colder climates. there wouldn't be many in sydney

Didn't notice the boiler, but did have a discussion with the Thornleigh guy over one of those blocks and pistons.
Diana
P.S. Who has the LROCS banner at present? We need it for next weekend!

i have the long thin banner, which you can use. do you want to give me a call and we can arrange pick up, the other one is with our V.P., which i will be using this weekend on saturday at the ute muster in richmond.
i will be at the committee meeting on tuesday night, if you can arrange someone to pick up from there might be easier.

the thornleigh guy, has he recently written off a land rover and was it his own or a mate's, or does he sometimes drive a really old landy that belongs to someone else or is he an accountant?
