I picked up my new (to me) Defender during the week.
Standing next to the 80", it's hard to think of anything else on the road that still has the strong family resemblance 52 years apart!

Happy as ...................Larry.:D

I always wanted to do up a sequel to the jeep add...

you know the one where the old guy drives the willys through a waterfall and comes out the other side with a cherokee and hes a heap younger

same deal but an old guy in a series 1 watches the jeep go through the water fall and goes for the same thing, the rover changes a little but he comes out the same age... and then instead of the jeep logo and message you get this

"Landrover, Still standing the test of time"

Sorry we couldn't have hooked up a week earlier Larry, but it still looks like you got a good 'un.

You could also do something similar to the Series 3 ad from years ago. Some will remember it a muddy camino gold S3 109" drives through a river and comes out clean. The title "Wash the car this weekend"

You could have an S1 go into the river, morph into the s3 in the river and then morph again as defender coming out.

The only water the grass gets comes from the clouds.
We can go for weeks & weeks with no rain & it still stays green.:D

Hi Larry, Would I be right in guessing that you live close to the coast, perhaps down Sutherland way? ;)
