Hello all
SWB Ser3 1976 HT, 186red, High/R Tx.
I am power boosting my brakes, Is there a simple way ??. I've heard of Vh44, and LWB pedal and boost assy. But they are almost impossible to get. Does someone now the answer or have the bits ??.
I would appreciate any comments.
Cheers

The BEST way is to use the 6cyl/stage 1 V8 pedal box. then use a MasterVac (mastercylinder and vacuum booster unit) from a late series 3 or Stage 1 with dual line hydraulics. (For even better brakes you can use the mastervac from a drum brake LC Torana or drum braked F100).
If your vehicle doesn't already have dual line hydraulics, the easiest place to split the system is at the 4 way adapter below the steering box. Split the front system from the rear, it is best to also use a brake balance warning in that location and fit a light to the dash. Your brake place can advise which one. (there may also be the brake balance warning switch in the master cyl - check first.)
A VH44 is O.K. but not as good as the mastervac system.

Addit: I have the pedal box but want it for a project. Give Brian Danielson of Land Vehicle Spares at Silverdale a call. He is sure to have one and does mail order on credit card.
