Hows this for clever????
A bloke over in Boddington(60ks away) was caught 4 times over the limit on the weekend.
He was charged and released.
An hour later he was caught again, charged again with DUI,plus had his car impounded under hoon laws.
It didnt end there,he returned to the Police Station during the nite, broke in and liberated his car,and yep they got him again for DUI,3 times in 24hrs!!!!,he was already under suspension.
Im guessing he will be walking for quite some time.

i think it will depend which court he ends up in he might just get a fine and 'have a nice day'
Maybe I should expand, It seems I am forever seeing things like, DUI 1 person killed, Fine.
brake in, battered old woman, Fine.
person beaten up for a few bucks, Fine.
maybe courts are getting a bonus for the amount of people they don't sentence?

It's pathetic isn't it. This bloke should have been refused bail and given a bed for the night but oooooh no, we don't want him in custody he might 'commit self harm' - for goodness sake! If he had injured someone the second or third time I'd nearly consider that to be 'aide and abet'. As for fines, the scumbags don't pay them and you can't seize assets because they don't have anything worth the trouble...sheesh:mad:

For the guy to remain drunk for such a long time I recon hes got a real problem, so no doubt he will try to drive again (regardless of licence or not) and nothing will be done until an innocent person gets hurt.
My grandmother was run down and killed by a drunk driver. One thing I cant stand is idiots like these, because a car in the wrong hands is a weapon.

I knew a guy who eventually died of alcohol related illnesses in his mid 50's. His drink driving record was truly apalling. Numerous convictions over a twenty-five year period, never less than .28, convictions for driving both drunk and suspended. He had actually had his licence cancelled for life twice. You can re-apply after seven years apparently. He never bothered to re-apply after the second time, just kept driving. One court appearance was in the local paper. The arresting officer said he had a lit cigarette and an open stubbie when pulled over, and when asked to get out of the car, almost fell over and had to be held up. On that occasion he was .34. He had been an interstate truck driver and two past employers I knew said they would employ him again if he got off and kept off the grog. They both said he was a careful and reliable operator until he became an alcoholic.

People like him should have "Do not give me alcohol" Tattooed across his forehead so he cant get drunk again.
