Does anyone have a rough idea at the going rate for one of those storage garages? (for a vehicle) I am contemplating something and it would probably need an external storage location.

Cheers but i was thinking more along the lines of those ones where you rent a unit at a complex sort of thing.

If you want long term storage a shipping container might be ok.

You could put a roof over it to keep it a bit cooler or a whirly bird.

mate just ask directly on here - I'm sure there is someone on the forum who would store your vehicle for you for the odd beer or two :)

G'day Mick-Kelly :)

There is also a complex on Beachmere road near the Caboolture Bus Depot from memory, but it all depends on what you are looking to store be it vehicles or boxed items/parts, OR bits from UK ;) like a Tub/Firewall :D

cheers

Mick,

a 6m x 3m is about $25 - $30 a week around here,
should be much the same where you are...

price diff is due to levels of security offered...

Thanks for the replies, i went and asked the local bloke at Sizzlers and they want $330 a month so that rules that out. I am doing some homework on how to get Elsa into the shed here using the winch to make room for another possible project all conjecture at this stage. No its not another landrover but it is from England and has Lucas electrics :( Numpty may know what im contemplating.

Crikey! $330 a month! That's nearly 4 grand a year!
You could build your own shed for that $$$.

That's why I suggested a shipping container. Except for the transport cost you can always get your money back and as far as I know they don't need council approval.

I have a 3 ton pantech truck body in my back yard that came with the house.

G'day Mick :)

Maybe a few of us locals could manhandle said Elsa into he shed save you trying to do it by your self. I would be in it, and you would know the other usual suspects.

cheers

Thanks for the offer Uncleho, i ve got an electric winch that will save on the man handling. Elsa is fairly close to finished just needs a couple of weekends work. If i get this new toy then it will not be in a fit state to move for many months so i might have to do some magic to move cars around down the track. I will be moving Elsa into the back yard tomorrow so she might get parked in for a while. Through the joy of the winch all i have to do is steer :p
