Does anyone have the alloy door tops with the two-way sliding glass ? FWD in Brisbane are selling them for about $550 a pair - with glass and seals etc.
I think they are made by the same company that does the parabolic springs............

Hi Mark
Should be easy to DIY yours,Im sure a visit to a window shop that build their own will confirm.
New tracks and glass and your done.
Take a pic of the army type if you can, especially a close up of the tracks.

I have a pair in the shed that I don't need.
The do not have bolts in them though? Looks as if they never have.
Shoot us a PM if you need some (either way make us an offer)
Dave.

No GST or import duty under $1000au.
I'd be tipping the shipping cost to be approx 70 - 110 pound to due to the bulkiness of the item. On that basis it will be very similar $$ just to but the 4wd ones in AUS. I am unsure as to whether there would be a quality difference though.
Dave.

These particular door tops dont utilise a steel frame like the standard ones which are steel with an aluminum skin - the entire top is constructed from extruded aluminum so rust is no longer an issue.
I believe the Perentie ones are very similar - they also share the front sliding glass concept.
I can obtain the normal tops here for about $110 each but they are unglazed and by the time I muck around with buying new channel and glass (I dont have any door tops at all at present:() I was thinking that for a couple of hundred dollars extra I could eliminate the rust issue and have modern seals and a front sliding panel.
From previous experience, the postage from the UK for bulky items is horrendous (not too bad for small packages) and I am not even game to ask!

Yes, they should be the ones from Rocky Mountain or Wise Owl or whatever in Canada. They sound really good and I've read a few good things about them on some UK forums.
Look up Rocky Mountain and there's a little thing on the site about those doortops.
