would that be the lockers switch ??
if so i'd say it would be PITA as well
i like them to be easy to see and feel myself
saves putting your hand up all the time to turn them on and off

I spent $6000 even at ARB for the front and rear lockers the duel purpose compressure Bull Bar Spotties and recovery gear snatch straps shackles EZ deflater puncher kit and a carry bag. The shocks have costed $1400 Shipped. The tyres costed $1500 had to replace the spare that was cactus the other bits and peices $1300
Grand total of $10200 heck now come to think of it I bought the Disco for $14000 thats 80% of the value of the Disco

Sounds good, what size tyres did you go for? i guess next step is 4.11's, 35s and maxidrive reduction gears :)

the next step would be stronger shafts and CV 34's as I don't want to cut panels As for 4.11 I just found out that Model 128 lockers from ARB don't except 4.11 unless you machine the sun gears  so ill try to see if I can reduce the hi and low gears in the transfer box but that's further down the line unless something goes pop which I'm really cautious about when I go off road I'm not heavy on the right foot as I needed to be with the Nissan
Went out to Lithgow the other week with a few blokes from the outer limit forum I found that with a bit of clearance there wasn't anything to stop the Disco it performed as well if not better as a GQ with a 2 inch lift and 34 however he wasn't worried as I as he already had every panel damaged
what was excellent on the day was that there where whole bunch of people with brand new rovers RR sports to D3 what my disco did it stuff as on lookers where dazed with amazement obviously new people to the off road world and they will probably never do it again

i should think so!!! i would be supprised if my disco couldn't out perform a gq on 34's and my'n has only got 2" lift and 31's no where near as modded as yours and i wouldn't be even more supprised if our 90 did even better and its standard:p

As for 4.11 I just found out that Model 128 lockers from ARB don't except 4.11 unless you machine the sun gears
Are you sure this is correct? The sun gears have nothing to do with the CW/P fitment. The sun gears relate to where the axles go in.

Didnt you do the shafts when you put lockers in? as for the 4.11s and not fitting the RD128s i thought that was a D2 issue with the shafts not fiting all the way into the centre not the CWP causing issues?? I have RD128 for my county front and soon to come 4.11s so now i am worried again!! I would certainly be considering 4.11s if i was in your shoes though the d2 v8 high range struggles a bit on the hills and highways with big rubber....

exactly what i was thinking... couldnt work out how a CWP would interfere with the sun gears

RD128 is a replacement for the RD56 which was the locker for rover 24 spline centres, RD57 is the locker for rover's with traction control, especially 02 on. CW/P fitment is same for both, only the centre is changed with a locker.

Couldn't help my self went pass the old mans from west Sydney to the South West parked on his drive way because offcoarse the D2 doesn't fit in the dam garage and hoisted up the rear and started strip it down 2 hrs later all the old was ripped out ready for the new I thought rain hale or shine I'm doing it, Dad thought I was nuts but he joined in the fun he is my navigator when off road so it was in his best interest to supervise and offcoarse his retired mechanic :p:D

yeah the front are 255/70 and rear are 275/78
Thanks.
From what I've read, I had guesstimated 275/78 all round would suit.
I have read that a few are running 360/80 and required harder.
It'd be great to hear some feedback on how your car rides and handles once these are in the car.
What size did you get? I was looking at 12' Short bodies
Dave.

how hi are you lifting the Disco?
I think the shock rate will be OK considering the shocks in the rear where cactus on mine I could squeeze them together by hand
I was told by a good saurse of info (Slunnie) that its better to have the rears stiffer then the front
the piont is that by chance if you feel there to soft you can get them adjusted but offcoarse your better get it right the first time it does cost about $150 a pair I think
