What fun it is looking for a house, explain to various agents that we need a bit of room for two cars,a boat and box trailer,a garage to lock up tools etc and need a good size lounge to fit in couch and stereo equipment.
Some of the places lucky to park one car, garage has been turned into a bedroom this seems to be a common thing,or bedrooms are to small one place was not to bad but lounge you could only get a two seater in it and a small tv.
Back out today for another look and more calls to agents,do real estate agents and car salesmen go to the same marketing schools??

Like car salesmen, they are trying to sell you what they have "in stock". Primarily a land shark wants to sell his own listings as he gets all the commission. Selling another salesman's listing, or another agency's listing means shared commission. I ended up being quite rude to some of them after being shown places that did not in any way conform to the requirements I gave to them in writing in the form of a minimum requirements list. I firmly asked if they did not understand, and in future to only show me places that conformed to the list. The usual reply was that they "thought this one might suit", even if it in no way was suitable.

Stevo,
Tell them that if they show you a house that is not relevant to your wants, then you will be billing them $60 per hour for wasting your time.
