G'day guys,

I'm expanding my toolbox for the TD5 specific tool - well its Christmas soon and the misses and rellies never know what to buy me and tools are a safe bet.

I have the slimline tool that fits the V8 / 200 / 300 tdis but believe the TD5 is a different size? If so what size are they and what other vehicles in Aus use that size - I know the Tdi one is the same a the Ford Falcon one for example.

Its not urgent, the way I see it if I have the tool I will never need it and it will always come in handy for fixing mates TD5s!!!

I've used a screw driver and hammer to undo it:p

IIRC 36mm. Right hand thread too.

Don't use a hammer and chisel / screwdriver .

Just went into the workshop and checked mine. No brand name on them, just a warning that they are for use on viscous fan hubs only.
