gday all
just wondering if anybody can assist me
i currently have 31 x 10.5 BFG All Terrains on the defender, mounted on a 15 x 7 sunraysia rim.
the tyres are coming up for replacement, and i'm looking at some 33 x 12.5 (or whatever the metric equivelant is) cooper discoverer ST's.
in order to fit these, i need an 8 inch wide rim. so i thought for the ST's, which i will use mainly as my on-road tyre, i would get 16 inch rims. however i have been unable to find any 16 x 8 steel rims, and only 1 16 x 8 alloy design.
15 x 8 rims dont seem to be too thick on the ground either. and this is less preferable

i really am after some 16 x 8 steel rims. what do you guys use? where can i get them?

your assistance is appreciated

I got mine of Chris Hummer who run Simex Aust / Dynamic 4x4

He doesn't really do public sales, just supplies to businesses. Any tyre or rim store should be able to help, just get them to call Dynamic.

I have the 16x8 -25mm, I think they also make a 16 x 8mm+.

Dave.

Hi there,

Find your nearest Pro Comp Distributor, they have what they call their Rock Crawler Rim in BLack with a good range of sizes. I run 15x8 but I think they have 16x8.

thankyou for your replies, guys.
i think because i have a procomp dealer 20 minutes away (TJM Wallsend) i will go with that option for a start. and the rock crawlers look pretty good as well.

They are a stronger wheel than what I have but are more expensive.

I got a pretty fine deal with mine so I was happy.

When I was looking, the rock crawlers where about $130 odd each.

Cheers
Dave.
