Hi All,
Going camping this weekend with the GF, Neice and 2 nephews, we are staying at Arakoon reserve near trial bay, wanted to see if anyone could point in the direction of some fun stuff to do while we are there :)

We are taking the Toymotor Playdo so 4wding will have to be limited unfortunatly, but not apposed to taking it off the beaten track.

Whats good to see around the south west rocks area?

Thanks,

Mick.

I thought Fish Rock Cave was amazing. As you descend down to the sand gutters, you start to make out the grey nurses circling around - there's tons of them.

If it's not too surgey on the surface, you can get into the top cave, down the chimney and out the bottom cave - it's about a 125m swim-through, otherwise you can swim in the bottom and look around.

Lion fish, lots of octopi and cuttlefish, and wobbegongs.

The grey nurses are pretty inquisitive, they'll follow you into the cave mouth, but scamper when you come back out.

We had lots of whale chatter while there, and on the return boat trip a mother and calf put on a pretty good surface show for us.

I've got a group of friends going up next weekend - not sure if I'll be able to make it though.
