My 110 has turned up a few weeks early, which is quite a surprise. Looks good in dark green with the white roof - very sexy.
Haven't had a drive yet, as it was just off the transporter but was happy that I liked Tonga Green after all.
A few photos attached.
Cheers

I have to wait until it is pre-deliverd before they'll let me drive it. Hopefully it will be done in the next day or two.

Ooohh noooo - you need to keep up :D
It is the Ford based "Puma" engine, which is 2.4L 4 cylinder. Same power as the TD5 but 25% more torque.
It even has something resembling a modern dash and a 6 speed gearbox.
At least it still looks much like the original from the outside.

They all look so nice and clean when they are new don't they.
Very nice spudboy. White roof is a smart idea too, I bet it cuts down the heat lots which is great for outback touring.

It's a good thing my Td5 went quickly - I wouldn't know which one should get garage priority.

Mmmmm - wrapped in plastic! Don't you wish the dealers could let you rip it off yourself - like unwrapping a Christmas present. I also wish they would leave that clear protective film on the painted panels so you can peel it off as well.
Nothing like "undressing" a big girl like that...

Nothing immediately. It is really just my commuter car and farm run about, as I have my 130 for touring. The 130 is not practical to use every day with kids and luggage (it is a 2 door with a tray) and the turning circle of a small tug boat.
I bought the 110 as 'a keeper' so if I retire the 130 in a few years the the 110 will become my main car, and will hopefully last me until I retire (20 years away I reckon).

Aren't I lucky or should I say my wife, that I can't fit in a Defender. My knees are about 10mm from the dash. I could make it work but if I pranged it, my knee caps would be shattered! :(

Without the pictures I would not think a white roof would look good, but I stand corrected. Looks great. :D
Why isn't there a drooling icon. Luv my Disco but dream of getting a defender. But first I will need to lose about 50kg and get a new wife.:(

Yep - the back seats have their own individual head rests that go up and down on 2 sliders, just like a real car! They are sort of L shaped and look high tech (for a landie anyway). I also think that all the rear seats have proper sash seatbelts.
With the drivers seat all the way back, there is not a lot of room for the rear passenger (although I am 6'3" with long legs). It will only get worse if/when I fit some MudRails or equivalent.

Next thing is to start saving for a few accessories. Another of those never ending projects I seem to take on........

I prefer the all-one-colour myself.
As for the centre back seat - yes, it does have a three point seatbelt but you need a particularly skinny bum to sit there, especially if there are people in the other two outer seats. The buckles drop down into small recesses in the seat base and when all three are up in use there is very little room between them in the centre. Kids only.

Just phoned my purchaser guy, and he says my new Defender is ALSO early!!! It's been in Brisbane for a couple of days apparently.
The "old" one is off to its new home next Wednesday - who would have thought the planets could line up so neatly?
Now, where are the "crazy-happy" smilies... I don't often use these guys...

You can get either. I ordered mine with a white roof because I thought dark green would be too hot in summer, plus where I used to live in Kenya there were a few white tops running around and they were always my favourites.
The white roof makes it stand out a bit more I think, and I am replacing my alloys with white Wolf's so that will tie in nicely.

yeah but there is a very good reason for that! I suppose you could have ordered a dark green roof just to be different.

Ooh, pretty.
That wasn't in the drive when I called in last week mate.
Guys, you should see the little gem David picked up in the paddock. She is a cherry. What a little beauty.

Not so much excited as relieved that I'm not going to be such a pain in the @rse for much longer.
Although, in the end it wasn't that she "let" me have one, she "instructed" me to get one on account of it being so much nicer to travel in that the current one. And believe you me, I won't let her forget that she did, in fact, "instruct" me to get it ;). I'm now working out how to get her to "instruct" me to get a camper trailer . Maybe a few more dodgy tenting trips will see to that.
