Man I tell ya, if I see one more new defender thread, then god help my D3:D. Don't get me wrong I do love my D3, but in hindsight, I wish I had waited for a new defender. I really am a closet Fender brother and if I drive by the local dealers one more time and see that shiny black new fender out the front......then beware D3..........beware :o.

Regards

Stevo

P.S. Please keep posting the threads, just keeps my motivation up :)

LOL, hahaha. Yes, I think you should just give in now!! Taken a 'fender for test drive yet? I reckon you'd swap straight away!!!

This weekend is the perfect time to change over Stevo!

Steve, don't sweat it. From 2010 the Defender will be built on the disco platform so you can have the best of both worlds.

Holy Moly Stevo you gotta be kidding! I bet you would change your mind if you drove a Fender for a week after driving your D3 HSE..specially since you are a V8 fan

Just watch the value of the real Defenders soar when they bring out the plastic ones, the next few years may be a very good time to buy a Defender :p

Actually, I think your wrong there...

Series owners said the same when the county with its controversial bumper colour and stickers arrived.

County owners said it when the Defender name was introduced.... And the vehicle got a "dash"...

Nope, its going to be the same this time.....

I'll be buying one....

Don't you mean a TATA Safari chassis? :BigCry:

The article is written by a soft cock desk jockey:mad:

"No crash test, tell that to the workers who have to drive it" wat a friggin pussy....I feel sorry for my 4 daughters as real men are a dying breed.
The only good thing is Deefers are some re-buildable , we won't be forced into buying the computer cars of the future ;) when we want just re build em. stuff everyone else ,the Ozone hole is shrinking in size again:p

I think the next generation of "Defenders" will see a bit more change than stickers or a new dash. What we can buy now will be the last of the true "old school" land rovers, and not a dumbed down Disco with a different rear end.;)

Would a dumbed down Disco be a bad thing?

D3 chassis, Defender body, options for say air suspendsion and TR. I'd buy one.

There are those of us who want to and those of us who do!
If I had a fenda for every disco owner I know that really wanted a fenda, I'd have a car yard.

BITE THE BULLET MAN!!!!!!!!
DO IT, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!!!!

Comfort is over rated......save it for lounge chairs!!!
It's hard to nod off in a fenda, not cosy like a disco so fendas are safer!!!
Steve.
