? OK then - the story goes like this:

A couple of weeks ago I had to drive my brother over to school in the morning for an early class, and on one of the streets on the way there, just past a turn, there's a series one sitting dead ahead. So I ask how long it's been there - get the old "oh, what yeah, ages" - "so how come you didn't tell me" :(

Anyway, I see it a couple of times, and each time think, oh, rats, I should have brought my camera.

So I remembered it the other day, and here it is:

Having armed myself with an idea of where to look, I found that it is a 1956, 86", Basic model. I'm not entirely sure as to whether it's in the process of restoration to new, or just to working order; although that canvas top is from Exmoor Trim, and does look fairly new. However, the paint on the rear crossmember didn't give the impression of an attentive finish.

And if you're reading this, and I've just sprung your pride and joy, well, do tell!
:D

G'day Thethink :)

Now that's a nice original 86" love the anti-rattle front guard brace :) they were a common sight years ago;) very original and complete looking, but if it is parked under that tree for long I don't like the chances of the hood staying complete for long, as the sap will rot the canvas.
