The project County has a custom made Dashboard and the openable air vents have been rivetted shut anyway. There are no internal vents either.
I really need fresh air on my face and have always missed the openable air vents since my series Landie, as the red County had aircon and as such, no openable vents. Since I had the project vehicle in a thousand pieces I decided to fit a heater fan from another vehicle and use it to blow air into the cabin via a couple of air vents from a wrecked Ford sedan.
The heater fan came from a 70's Nissan Patrol at Pick a part as it was the easiest to remove and cost $20.00 and the Ford air vents and some tubing cost $16.00.
Pics are-
Marking out firewall
Positioning fan
Fan
Vents
Resizing Dashboard for vent
Sorry about the thumbnails , I cant master the full pic trick:(

All done, I cut a hole thru the firewall, fitted up some tubing from a wreck, bought some 3.5" tubing and ran it out to the vent in the guard. I now have a 3 speed breeze on my & passenger faces:) ( When I get to drive it, that is)
Two guages were removed as the previous owner had 3x guages, one for each tank:cool:, I will only have 2x tanks and use a switch and one guage.
All up cost was about $ 80.00
