Ive been toying around with a project Idea for a while and I can sense the oportunity for it to happen approaching. It means putting Kermit on the back burner again for a while but Im happy to do that for the end result.

The idea is to take a dead landrover of any type and unkill it. spending the minimum amout of money on it and turn it back into a workable (note it doesnt have to be roadworthy just safe to drive like a paddock basher) doing the work in daily 30 minute installments and documenting the work (most of it will be butchers tricks to get it running) including all the stuff that doesnt work first try.

Once the vehicle is up and running I plan to donate it to a worthwhile organisation, something like the scouts, lifesavers or one of those cancer camps as a workhorse for whatever they can use it for.

Ferno might have a sort of rolling chassis with a donk and box so thats my start point. I might be chasing parts here and there but I also want to gauge the interest level of those here and put the word out for an organisation that might be able to use the vehicle. Hell if the gear is good enough I might even go the whole hog and get it registered and donate it off on behalf of AULRO.

If theres more than one suitable charity I'll poll for who gets it.

I was sort of thinking about the rangie I just picked up from outlaw but its too far gone bodywise for me to be able to pull it off...

I really need one thats got goodish bodywork and glass. Fernockulated has a series II thats at the right price + hopefully condition for the project.

thats not bad but ideally i would have been after a free non runner series that would be stripped down and rebuilt in 30 minute increments with youtubing utilising as many people in as many was from the AULRO form as possable then having AULRO Pheonix done onto the doors before being given away to a charitable organisation

Ill have to have a look at fernos rover before having a further look.

And Im snowed under at work at the moment so anything thats not work, house or family related is on the back burner including my cooma prep.
