I have been lucky and found a brand new front prop shaft for my 86" from a very nice bloke in the SA Land Rover register called Ian. Couldn't believe it - still wrapped in plastic. For a very reasonable amount of cash and beer I now have a shaft without any slop or play.
Just have to find 2 suitable UJs to fit the empty cages now.
I originally went down there to salvage a front prop from an old vehicle he was wrecking, but once pulled out it turned out to be worse than mine, so not a good replacement at all.
Also, was completely amazed by what he has in his shed. More LR stuff than you can imagine. I am a sucker for galvanised fittings - never seen so much nice stuff!
