Hi folks, I’m after a small trailer with a hard dust proof cover, not necessarily an off roader but wouldn’t hurt.

I only need to carry a few things like recovery gear, a few fold up chair, small BBQ and the likes.

It’s just wanted for one day or weekend trips.

I’ve looked on the net but not found any small trailers other than the motor bike type.

Any suggestions?

Try this:

Aunger Trailers (http://www.aunger.com.au/trailers/index.html)

I saw them at K-Mart and apparently you can order them thru REPCO.

Thanks langy, not quite what I’m looking for but I’ve never heard of these before so I’ll check them out next time I’m near a K-Mart and sanity would make that after Christmas.

Here’s two others I’ve come across but still not what I’m after.

Cheers.

Still got the heap of ***** ( I’ve fixed it all up now ) only it’s too big for what I want.

I’m looking for something smaller, along the lines of those motor bike trailers you see, but for a vehicle.

See I’m not sure the TDV8 can tow anything too big ( as if )

This is something like what I’d like to find.

keeping something really small (ie very light) stable behind it may be another issue ....

would a roof box not be a better proposition maybe ?

Some of the motorcycle ones can be specified with wider axles (at least they used to be availablt that way.) My ex-wife's mother's ex-husband's parents (is that clear enough?) had one they towed behind their Suzuki Vitara.

Hi Tim
There was one for sale in town.
An older gent selling it,one of those fully enclosed jobbies.
Unsure if its still for sale, but can find out.
Was advertised with canvas tent, chemi toilet, and fridge $1500.
Nice looking unit,Ive seen it in the shed as it belongs to one on my firewood customers.
Not sure the add is still on the noticeboard.Pretty sure its a "Venter" if that helps.
Yell out if its what you want and I will call in and see the owner and see if its still available.
Andrew

Those Aunger trailers would be good if you got someone to make a top for it and seal it up. I think they are advertising the larger trailer for $700 so you would be able to get it for less than that.

Hi LandyAndy, thanks mate but even though that is cheap, I’m looking more for a luggage trailer, some thing that seals completely to keep rain and dust out.

Hi DiscoTDI, I had a good look at info on the Aunger trailers and got some feedback from a few people who use them.

The Aunger trailer is a great garden trailer, and I don’t mean that as a joke but of those I’ve got info from on the Aunger, say it is perfect for what it’s designed to do and all seam pretty happy with them but these are being used for odd jobs and on farms with great success but as above, I’, looking for a luggage trailer and even making a top ( one is available as an Aunger option ) the trailer would not be rain and dust proof.

Here’s another one I’ve come across.

EVO-POD, POCKET CAMPER, MINI CAMPER, MICRO CAMPER, WICKED LITTLE CAMPER, TINY LITTLE CAMPER (http://www.evo-pod.com/)

Hi scrambler, I had a look at some motor bike trailers a few years ago but they were too small and at $8k, far too dear.

Thanks anyway.

Drivesafe, have a look at Trail-a-Boot Covered trailers (http://trailaboot.com.au/index.php)
If you look at the gallery they go down to 4x4 feet, They are not as fancy looking as the fibreglass ones above, but maybe a little more affordable?
Cheers,
Fraser

those evo-pods look the goods Tim... just need to make sure it's a bit higher with some bigger wheels to get it right for the tow hitch on the rangy... and preferably a wider track to match the rangy.

I've seen those back-trax ones previously and they're a nice unit too

Hi Josh, these evo-pods are on show at Carara Markets so I’m going to have a look at the weekend ( so time ).

Bloody pricey though.

Cheers
