Is that rock really that steep?

I was using one of the trees as a vertical reference and if it was vertical, the damn rock is very steep.

He's a braver man than me!

Hang on - look at this video of others at the same rock! The D3 made it look easy!

YouTube - Hold on the rock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-zbq9AOvBU&)

After looking at the failures in the previous clip there is no way I would have put mine on the line.............too much money involved, I looked at the vertical trees also. Have a look at the front end of the Disco, there is little weight transfer from the back end

I believe the D3 did that with whats commonly known as "Grace and Composure!"

Oooh - I thought that white 110 in the 2nd clip was a gonner, but he j..u..s..t hung in there.

Goes to show how really good a D3 is.

Yeah...well...the D3 did make it easily but there wasn't much weight on those front wheels:eek::eek:

No way would I attempt something like that, D3 or not.

The D3 clip just goes to show that the absolute need for long wheel travel is gone as long as you have good traction aids.

Is there anyway you can save these clips?

I downloaded a program from Ashampoo which allows one to search all the video sites at once and to save those files that one needs.

See Ashampoo® ClipFinder (v1.26, 11/28/2007) - The search engine for the most important video portals (http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/product_2_0055__.htm) - ClipFinder

Re the second video, I liked the recovery of the Toyota - he applied power and pulled himself out of trouble Quick thinking!

And with more than a touch of traction control.

Would have been plenty of stained undies there.
