Quick! Lock the door before those Disco, RR and Freeloader types try to get in. Bunch of Defender owner wannabies the lot of them. Lets keep this club exclusive, can we password protect? ;):wasntme::D

Not according to the multitude assembled at home...
I arrived today after a "hunting trip" with a Defender brochure...
I was berated with comments like:
"You are a real boy "
"It looks like a truck :no2:!"

How come the stink pot isoozo countys get their own section but the legendary V8 countys get lumped in with the stupid defenders.
Its like putting the gifted good looking kids in with the "special needs" class. It's just not right

its funny that's exactly how this section got started..
before the puma was officially landed here in Oz I asked if we could have a section specific to the puma as it was obvious that there would be teathing problems with the car being so new. and it would be a place were we could talk and discuss our problems.
I got a defender section that covered all due to there not being enough difference of other models.
I think the separate section has worked well, even if I'm being blammed for the reduced numbers of people buying puma's and the possible impact it has had on Land Rover sales due to what has been posted:wasntme::D
However at least you now know why it came about:)..it came about because of the Puma. :D

Liking the comment about the IT section!:D LOOOOng time 300Tdi driver and looking under my Puma's bonnet scares the **** out of me!
Fond memory of a convoy of 4 Land Rovers in the Namib Desert. 3 Deefers and a V8 County and the diesel Deefers all carrying petrol in at least half our jerrys to allow our mate in the V8 to range the same as us.:D No slagging the V8 County though, the old girl had power in reserve when needed to tow fallen trees from our path on a following trip!
All stick together when it get to taking something "shaped like the garden shed" round the world a couple of times!:D

Funny, when I wrote that all those years ago, I never thought I'd own a Discovery, let alone spend more time on the Discovery forum than here. I suppose the Defender is trouble free in comparison:D.

See thats what i'm talking about, ........ you had to repeat :D

it actually drives me a bit nuts with all the forums, sub forums bla bla
All the good V8 tech stuff is spread about between the Rangie and disco forums - not too big a problem - but a lot of it should be in general tech.

Yep, far too many seem to post genuine tech queries that go across all models in the sub forums.

Thank you for your kindness :) but its ok - its just tall poppy syndrome, something all V8 County owners have to deal with :p. We know we drive the best Land Rover ever made, and deep down everyone else knows this too. :):):):)
(luckily isuzu county owners have their own forum and won't read the above, I reckon they'd hunt me down and gut me like a fish :()
