Perkins 4.154 on vege?

Anyone come across anything to say whether this falls in the "definitely" or the "don't even think about it" baskets? I'm a little new to this sort of thing, but I gather it depends on fuel pumps and injectors. What are Perkins like for this?

if they are mechanically injected (like the suzi).... Get yourself a kick ass filtration system and go your hardest for the bio.

I have no experience with doing it, but it is one of the engines I would have no hesitation in running on biodiesel.
