Wasn't that a promotion by Leyland Australia for the Series 3?

The 109 hard top used in the promo. was then stolen from the Leyland yard at Milperra Road.

Nice one - put a large image up on a website somewhere and I'll bet it's downloaded for wall paper.....

I'm sorry I 'd didn't get a similar image recently after doing same in my blue disco 1. (But .. hey it's not the same as a defender..... 'real mean' drive defenders...)

If I photoshop the numberplate and the snorkel I could pass it off as mine on my computer. Then wifey would wonder when I did it.

Am I wrong Derek or have you changed spotlights. I always thought you had the Lightforce Blitz spotties on the Defender.

Oh yeah, great pic. A classic - which will no doubt feature on many computer screens - mine included.

No always had the IPF 900XS. Personally I don't like Lightforce for 2 reasons (1) A lot of people seem to put them on their Tojo's cause they look big and showy (2) I've seen a number of issues with the mounts loosening. I think the first reason is what really kills them for me (I don't want to look like a Tojo driver :p ).

Frankly I bought the IPF's 'cause the were cheap and I didn't think much of the brand. I am actually very impresed by them and would recommend the 900XS as very good value for money, they are also fully sealed.

As for the picture, I think we need a section on the forum for Desktop pictures.

Funny how one can get an impression about something - and I was way off beam regarding the Light Force lights on your Defender.

Have to say, though, I love your reasoning - especially the first reason. Be a nightmare really..........looking like a Toyota driver.

Desktop pictures section on the forum? I'll second that.

You've probably already told everyone on the site - and yours truly has missed the announcement.

G'day Barra1, I have a Defender Tdi and a Disco Td5. As per signiture, had the Disco when I signed up here.

How's sunny Albury? Spent several years there.

Ah Derek - just me being blind in one eye and not polishing the other eye. :(

I was reading the very bottom line of your signature:

Rovacom Lite - Disco2 and Defender TD5

Lucky I can laugh at myself:eek::eek:

Sunny Albury? Bit of rain lately - and I hope it is a very wet Albury for a while yet.;) The Hume Weir and Dartmouth are each holding 17% of capacity:o

Ahh now I understand the confusion. That part of the signature was from my sadly ignored thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-chatter/50481-where-can-you-get-access-diagnostic-software.html.

Good to hear the dams have come up a bit in 10 years since I left.
