Hi Don, where do you live?
They are not noisy compared to the oldies but they are a pretty different truck really.
Bad points depend on what your going to use it for.
In my opinion I'd probably wait another 10 months if you can as I reckon there is a bit of ironing out of issues to be resolved. I've had mine in under warranty several times and it is yet to go back again. And according to the forums over in UK I'm not the only one with a few of the issues which I've managed to get.

Hi Dion,
As a previous person said where are you? If you are in Brisbane I would be more than happy to show mine off. I have just got back from Fraser Island and given it a thorough thrashing and it was magic!:D
As for noise, again it depends what you are compairing it too? If you have the window down the air intake is quiet noisy once your on boost:twisted: And they are a little noisy on the freeway athough LR boast they have made them XXdB quieter than the previous model. I have had both and they are both noisy! Around town, no drama's unless you are getting up it!
I too have had a couple of warrenty issues which I have had to go back to LR for but I am not sure waiting 10 months would help after all it's a LR:o
They are awsome and you certainly feel king of the road driving them even doing big sand driving beside big custom jobs they don't seem to have anything on you!

In my experience our dealer Southside Landrover have offered absolutely excellent service. :) No questions asked warranty work to the point where they go looking for you! I'm confident that even if you do have a few niggles those guys will do their best to sort if for you with the minimum of pain.
Some brands won't act on a problem even if they notice it unless the customer complains.

I agree they have been great. It's the second new LR I have bought off them and they have really lifted their games since 2002 when I bought the first one. Nothing but praise this time:D

Cheers,
In '05, I flew up to Brisvegas to look at 110's for a customer. He had 6 of them to view. ALL were absulute rubbish except for a low mileage one at Southside, a 1996 with 150k on it. They were excellent, they let me in the workshop to have a gander on one of their hoists, they gave me a leadlight and left me to it! The vehicle was faultless, having been sold new by them and serviced on time since. I mentioned to the almost owner who was standing by that we would have to fit a cam belt soon after he drove it back to Hobart, and the head salesman said, 'So you're driving it back to Tas?Don't bother, we'll do it before you leave, and it is soon due for the 160k service, we'll do that too!'( ALL oils, coolant, brake fluid etc etc)
That is about $1200 worth of work. Whats more, they did it all the next day!!
Fantastic service and well worth the plane trip in the end!
I highly recommend these guys.
