Can anyone tell me of an easy way of getting a map of Fraser Island \ Rainbow Beach for use with OziExplorer?
In electronic form would be the best.
Thanks.

don't know if this is what you are looking for but try Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/)

Failing everything else you could get a good paper map of Fraser, scan it and calibrate it for OziExplorer - not too hard once you get the hang of it. If you only have an A4 scanner you'll need to scan and calibrate several files. It's more work but not a huge issue for OziExplorer coz will automatically find any adjacent maps and load them. Otherwise you could use stitching software to join the scans up. ( or find a nice big scanner.)
However the Hema Fraser Island map CD is only thirty bucks, and its already formatted for OziExplorer. Personally I'd be saving the hassles and getting that.

That they are.
Even if they have switched from Discos to Patrols !

Besides why would you need a GPS map of the place - surely a paper HEMA map (or even the free map in the brochure the EPA send out or from their website) would do, along with my EXCELLENT trip reports, of course.
