In the market for some roof racks and roof cage for my range rover classic.
Originals are cork, but rubber gaskets are available now.

Now, I think I found something on the subject here ya go;

Title : PEGASUS STRUCTURAL TEST. NOSE CONE SEPARATION - PITCH ROCKET COVER EJECTION,
Corporate Author : LOCKHEED MISSILES AND SPACE CO INC SUNNYVALE CA
Personal Author(s) : Konle, W. R.

Report Date : 24 APR 1961
Pagination or Media Count : 4
Abstract : The effect of the Thiokol TX7-1 rocket motors on the pitch rocket cover and the nose cone - heat shield separation was evaluated. The pitch rocket cover test indicated that the Thiokol rocket exhaust was adequate to effectively jettison the pitch rocket cover. The nose cone - heat shield test proved that the Thiokol rocket motors provided sufficient thrust and that the angular mounting of the motors gave sufficient lateral displacement to the nose cone to move it out of the programed flight path of the capsule.

hey guys sorry, the engine is a 3.9 v8 range rover

I went to landrover in port melbourne and purchased some genuine gaskets and they gave the rubber type!

Anyway I found that they are cheaper to purchase from Landrover Australia then other landrover specialist outlets here in Melbourne.

Cheers guy

Cheaper than $5.50 each (cork) from Four Wheel Drives in Blackburn? I'd want to live next door to LandRover in Port Melb to get them for less than that :p.

The only ones you should use are the ones with the metal foil in them that crush when you tighten them.I think they are from the P38,all the others will leak.The cork ones are crap. Pat
