mmmm lake jumping, can't say i've done it....call me chicken, you just have to make sure the bike floats and if it doesn't that the lake is not too deep that you can't find it, our group does it occasionally during summer instead of one of the sunday afternoon rides, i think its the riding down the hill without brakes to start with that puts me off

When i was in primary school and we just started getting bmx bikes, we used to head down to the yarra after school in Warrandyte where i grew up and we used to jump our bikes into the yarra, sometimes we would tie a length of rope on to aid recovery.

he might be talking about my run in stasons quarry........

Id just started running the magura hydraulic brakes and was on a dual downhill track that was basically straight down, turn left down some more jump slight curve right and your on the finish...

I asked for a start hold, took the brake pads out (the maguras were setup to allow pad change without removing the rim) gave them to the guy on the gate next to me and then signaled I was good to go....

other bloke didnt even leave the gate.. but I didnt find that out till after they pulled me out of the spectators.....

Why are you contaminating the Series test track with your bikes?
Lachlan will be horrified if that's the bike he pinches when we are at your place!

Not crazy,

He's a body that in pain
And a todger for a brain

Besides when his mentor "in the ways of the bodge" has his way the chassis should be bouyant.
