:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I've got yet another electrical problem.

I'm looking for confirmation of an opinion. Kinda like seeing another doctor. :D

I've discussed this with a particular "Guru Swami" and come to the conclusion that I have a dead short in the right side park light circuit after the switch, potentially inside the chassis rail or the front inner guard lining.

I'm interested in some one elses opinion.

SYMPTONS

Blown fuse 16. Non functional front park light, rear park light and instrument cluster lights.

With headlight switch on (park) insertion of a subsequent fuse leads to failure.

Suggested failure points, Trailer plug (re wired n replaced by autospark just prior to driving hobart to townsvile)

Loom from inside front right guard to park light fitting.

Earths have been checked and appear to be fine.

Any other thoughts?

Thanx in advance.

no thats what ID be thinking but ID start by double checking the sparkies work as they usualy just tap into the rear lights to power up the trialer plug and may have shorted something there.

I agree, trailer plug would still be my first check. Also do you have a bullbar with park lights in it? If so, check that wiring to.

Thanks Gents

I'll certainly be doing that. The bullbar only has indicators in it so no issue there as they are still working.

Now I'll go and pull apart the loom starting with the trailer plug.

Dave

I've found a mob here in Townsville called RGM maintenance. They maintain military vehicles. Do you know anything about them?

They have a half reasonable charge out rate and know their way around a landy so when I need to I'll use them.

Cheers,
