OK - this may sound crazy, but I'm looking to retrofit the original bumper onto the 96 Defender that we picked up recently with an ARB winch bar already attached. And the stupid question to all of those who may have fitted ARB bars themselves is: Do they modify the mounting points to fit those bars? ie. if I get an original bar, will it bolt straight back on no problems? I had a peek and not being sure what the original mounting points looked like, can't figure out if anything's been added...

Ta muchly!

mm Yeah the ARB ones fit on the same way as the standard Land rover bumper fits. So if i understand what you are asking you can take of an arb bumper and put on the land rover stanard crappy bumper, with out having to do anything to the mountings

The short answer is yes, it will bolt straight back on.

Eddiec, Did you find a home for the ARB Winch bar? I am after one for a 300tdi 110 wagon, preferably black but a coat of paint will fix the yellow. If you still have it what sort of dollars are you wanting for it?
