Rangeland/british auto parts at moxon rd punchpowl have closed their doors. sam the owner is keeping the name, and starting up as a mobile mechanics. He is keeping the cream of the parts and scrapping the rest. Its a bit unfortunate that he cant sell all the stuff at firesale prices, but he doesnt have the time - he has to be out before feburary! They have some collection of parts that are going to go to waste as they have been there for 20 years or so i think and have wrecked all the old british stuff, not just Landies. What a shame......anyway, that leaves TR spares at padstow and Land vehicle silvedale as the specialised land rover wreckers in sydney.

That's a shame they helped me out a heap with my auto conversion. I have recommended them to quite a few people.

I dropped by and said thanks to Sam today - (I've been going there on and off since the late 80's) and just a bit of a change to Mr E's info - after the move you still will be able to contact him on the same phone number, and although he won't have a shopfront, he still will have most of his spares, and generally do most of the same stuff - although apparently he will concentrate more on mobile work. So Rangeland/ British Auto Parts still lives. I don't envy him these next few weeks - they have their work cut out for them.

Maybe there coming to there senses and moving to QLD :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Seriously, it's always a shame that these places close down. Our local LR specalist when it was sold to another owner he decided to scrap the parts side, big mistake (and bloody inconvient). The previous owner used to do a roaring trade in parts too.
